Janki Mandir Sitamarhi
SEO-optimized tourism website for Janki Mandir, Sitamarhi - built in PHP/MySQL. Fixed SQL injection vulnerabilities across every admin form, researched and added 15+ tourist places with history and how-to-reach details, added real photo galleries, clean URLs, and full on-page + AI-SEO (schema markup, sitemap, llms.txt).

Overview

A complete, SEO-optimised tourism website for Sitamarhi, Bihar, built around Janki Mandir, the birthplace of Goddess Sita. It is an in-house project, built to give pilgrims and travellers one reliable, well-researched place to plan a visit.

The Problem

Information about Sitamarhi's temples and heritage sites was scattered and thin online, and the first version of the site had serious technical problems: broken configuration, a blog that showed nothing, and admin forms open to SQL injection.

What We Built

  • 15+ researched tourist places, each with history and how-to-reach details
  • Temple and heritage pages for Janki Mandir and the surrounding sites
  • Photo gallery using real, properly licensed Wikimedia Commons photography
  • Blog and local news sections
  • Admin panel to manage places, gallery, blog and news

Engineering Highlights

  • Security fixes. SQL injection was patched across every admin form.
  • Bugs fixed. A broken SITE_URL setting was corrected, and the blog was repaired (it showed nothing because of a status / is_published column mismatch).
  • Search and AI-search optimisation. Clean URLs via .htaccess, per-page meta and Open Graph tags, JSON-LD schema markup, robots.txt, a sitemap and an llms.txt file.

Tech Stack

PHP, MySQL, .htaccess URL rewriting and JSON-LD structured data.

Status

Complete. A public case study with screenshots is at github.com/mukeshkumar356/jankimandir-sitamarhi-case-study; the source code is private.
