QR Code Pro

Overview

QR Code Pro is a two-in-one native Android utility: generate a styled QR code from any text or URL, or scan existing QR codes and barcodes with the camera. It is fully offline, with no account and no tracking.

What We Built

• Generate: turn any text or URL into a QR code, with 4 foreground and 4 background colour presets
• Scan: camera-based scanning that supports all standard barcode formats
• Save and share: save the code as a PNG or share it straight to any app
• Smart results: URLs in scan results are detected automatically and can be opened in one tap
• One-tap copy of any scan result to the clipboard

Engineering Highlights

• Proven scanning engine. It uses ZXing, through zxing-android-embedded, for reliable encoding and decoding.
• Secure sharing. Generated images are shared through Android's FileProvider, so other apps get temporary, scoped access instead of a raw file path.
• Sharper output. QR bitmaps are rendered in full ARGB_8888 colour and filled in a single pass, so the chosen colours stay exact in saved and shared images.
