AI Photo Editor

Overview

AI Photo Editor is a lightweight photo editor for Android. Pick a photo from the gallery or take one with the camera, then filter, adjust, transform and caption it, and save the result straight to the gallery.

What It Does

• 12 one-tap filters with live preview thumbnails
• Adjust: brightness, contrast and saturation sliders
• Transform: rotate left or right, flip horizontally or vertically, and a square crop
• Text overlay: type a caption and place it on the photo
• Reset back to the original at any time
• Save to gallery with no watermark

How It's Built

• Filters and adjustments use Android's ColorMatrix, so edits are fast and run entirely on the device.
• Editor is a single Activity with tabbed tool panels (Filters, Adjust, Transform, Text) and a RecyclerView filter strip.
• Images load through Glide, so large photos open smoothly.

Tech Stack

Kotlin, Android Views (Material Components, RecyclerView), ColorMatrix image processing, Glide.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
