CricFantasy – Cricket Score & Fantasy

Overview

CricFantasy is a cricket companion app: live scores, full scorecards, rankings and a fantasy-team builder, in one lightweight app.

What It Does

• Scores: live, recent and upcoming matches across IPL, T20I, ODI and Test
• Match details: batting and bowling scorecards, match info and commentary
• Fantasy team builder: pick 11 players within a 100-credit budget, filter by role, and choose a Captain and Vice-Captain
• Team rules enforced: at least 1 wicket-keeper, 3 batters and 3 bowlers, and at most 7 players from one side
• Saved teams with expected points
• Rankings: team, batter, bowler and all-rounder rankings for Test, ODI and T20I
• Points guide explaining every fantasy scoring rule
• Series and news sections

How It's Built

• Live data comes from CricAPI through Retrofit. Users add their own free API key, and a built-in demo mode with sample matches works without one.
• Room database stores saved fantasy teams on the device.
• MVVM architecture with ViewPager2 tabs for scores, fantasy and rankings.
• Team validator checks every selection against the composition and credit rules before saving.
• Privacy: no account and no ads; all data stays on the device.

Tech Stack

Kotlin, Retrofit with Gson, Room, MVVM (ViewModel, LiveData), ViewPager2.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
