Overview

HairStyle AI lets you try hairstyles and hair colours on your own photo before making a change.

What It Does

• Upload a photo from the gallery or take one with the camera
• Face detection confirms the photo is suitable before styling
• Hairstyle library filtered by All, Boys and Girls
• Hair colour options to recolour the chosen style
• Before/after comparison with Show Before
• Save and share the new look

How It's Built

• Face detection uses Google ML Kit, on the device, to find the face and position each hairstyle.
• Custom overlay view draws the hairstyle and colour on top of the photo.
• Privacy: works offline, and photos are never uploaded.

Kotlin, Google ML Kit Face Detection (on-device), custom overlay view, RecyclerView.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
