SpendWise

Overview

SpendWise is a complete personal-finance app: track income and expenses, set budgets, manage EMIs and save towards goals, all offline.

What It Does

• Transactions: income and expenses with category, payment method (cash, UPI, card, bank transfer or cheque), notes and an optional receipt photo
• Dashboard: this month's balance, total income, expenses and savings, plus recent transactions
• Budgets: an overall monthly budget and per-category budgets, with near-limit and over-budget alerts
• EMI tracker: loans with monthly amounts, due-date reminders and mark-as-paid
• Savings goals with progress
• Reports and analytics: category-wise spending and a 6-month expense trend
• Search and filter by today, this week or this month
• Backup and restore: export to CSV and import from CSV

How It's Built

• Room database with tables for transactions, budgets, EMIs and goals.
• MVVM architecture with ViewModel and LiveData, in a mix of Kotlin and Java.
• EMI reminders: a WorkManager job sends due-date notifications, and a boot receiver restores them after a restart.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
