WA Message Recovery

Overview

WA Message Recovery keeps a private copy of incoming WhatsApp messages, so you can still read a message after the sender deletes it.

What It Does

• Saves incoming messages from WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business
• Read deleted messages with sender and time
• Search saved messages
• Copy or share any message
• Delete one message or clear all
• Guided setup for the Notification Access permission

How It's Built

• Notification listener: a NotificationListenerService reads WhatsApp notifications as they arrive and saves the sender, message text and time.
• Room database stores messages on the device only.
• Restarts after reboot: a boot receiver keeps capturing messages after a restart.
• Honest limits: it can only save messages whose notifications arrived while the app was installed and allowed.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
