Spy Detector

Overview

Spy Detector helps travellers check hotel rooms, changing rooms and rentals for hidden cameras and listening devices, using the sensors already in the phone.

What It Does

• Quick Scan: runs several checks at once and gives an overall verdict
• IR camera scanner: reveals infrared light from night-vision cameras through the phone camera, with flashlight control
• Magnetic field detector: finds electronics by their magnetic signature, with a strength meter and beep alerts
• Wi-Fi network scanner: lists devices on the network to spot possible IP cameras
• Bluetooth scanner: finds nearby devices and flags suspicious ones
• Sound bug detector: listens for unusual electronic sound activity
• Mirror test guide: 5 steps to check for one-way mirrors
• Scan history and detection tips

How It's Built

• Uses the phone's own sensors: the magnetometer, camera, microphone, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, each in its own detector screen.
• Guided permissions: a permission helper asks for each sensor only when its tool is used.
• Honest limits: no method is 100% certain, so the app encourages using several checks together.

Status

Complete and installable as an Android app. Not yet published on Google Play.
